Putting Together My Spring Warm Water Fly Box

Author’s Note:  After correcting several typos immediately after publishing this, I am forever swearing off composing posts on my iPhone.

It’s been a little too cold for me to get out to my favorite local ponds lately, so my attention has turned to my spring warm water fly box. I’ve got 11 patterns I’m thinking about – mostly proven patterns I’ve done well with, but also a few that just look too good not to try.

Here they are:

1. Bass Popper
2. Panfish Popper
3. Gartside Gurgler
4. Foam Hopper
5. Foam Spider
6. Grey Duster
7. Cat’s Whisker
8. Bead-head Pheasant Tail Nymph
9. Crappie Bully
10. Super Cypret Minnow
11. Black Ghost – Chartreuse wig

12. I’m taking suggestions – what do you recommend for my #12 in my spring warmwater box?
